    SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Executive Editor,Talk of the Town) BREAKING: SHREVEPORT LITTLE THEATRE 11-18-08 Fanned by gusty winds, a two-alarm blaze quickly ravaged major parts of the Shreveport Little Theatre located on Margaret Place in Shreveport, La.  Responding first on the scene, about 9:30 Tuesday morning, Nov. 18th, Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford quickly sounded a call for a second alarm, bringing the number of units to 20 that worked to fight the blaze. According to Caddo Registrar of Voters Ernie Roberson, his office will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 23. Saying he felt that "it was time," to step down, Dark said he was looking at other options in his future. [more]

    NEW YORK, NY From CNN (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town)  -- While stockholders at UPS and FedEx are smiling, the mood was glum at the global delivery company DHL, where an announced a cutback of  9,500 jobs was made public. DHL is discontinuing its air and ground operations within the United States. According to CNN, DHL said its DHL Express will continue to operate between the United States and other nations. But the company said it was dropping "domestic-only" air and ground services within the United States by Jan. 30 "to minimize future uncertainties." DH... [more]
