Shreveport Lions Chicken Charbroil 9-26-09Posted by: Tom Pace - September 30, 2009Trey Gleason of the North Shreveport Lions Club was the featured guest during the Saturday morning 11 o'clock segment on the "Talk of the Town with Tom Pace," September 26th, 2009. Broadcast live on SuperTalk 1340, KRMD-AM, Gleason gave Tom the details for this year's annual Chicken Char-Broil Fundraiser to be held October 9th, 2009. Proceeds from the event go to further Lions Club activities helping the community. The Chairman for this year's Chicken-Broil, Gleason also talked about the North Shreveport Lions Club Cubsight Eye Screenings (A Lions Club International Program) where Lions Club members check young children's eyes (from 1 to 5 years of age) for any problems with their sight (near-sightedness, far-sightedness, or other issues with the eyes, including possible tumors). Locally, the Cubsight eye screenings are performed free of charge by clubs like the North Shreveport Lions Club at daycare centers, and local schools around the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
