There’s soon going to be a major federal lawsuit being brought by a group from the state of Louisiana, that will challenge the constitutionality of the upcoming 2010 U.S. Census.
Political pollster, demographer, and analyst, Elliott Stonecipher broke that news to the North Shreveport Lions Club on Thursday, October 1st, 2009.
Executive Editor of “The Talk of the Town,” Tom Pace spoke exclusively with Stonecipher about the upcoming lawsuit, and the ramifications for re-districting in Louisiana if the current planned census goes forward.
A Shreveport native, Stonecipher told Pace about a recent Wall Street Journal Op-Ed piece that he and Dr. John Baker wrote, detailing how Louisiana parishes need to protect themselves from non-citizens of the United States being counted in the 2010 U.S. Census.
