With a large group of Chrisitan Service board members, city and parish officials, and local ministers looking on, Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover issued an historic proclamation Wednesday, Novemebr 4th, as he proclaimed the entire month of November 2009, "Pause for the Poor Month" across Shreveport and Bossier City.

The joint proclamation serves to encourage the local community to support and attend the  annual Chrisitan Service "Poor Man's Supper," to be held this Sunday, November 8th from 6p-7p in the Hunter Activities Building of First United Methodist Church in Shreveport.
