The annual “Poor Man’s Supper” fundraiser benefitting Christian Service of Shreveport-Bossier is this Sunday 6p-7p at First United Methodist Church in Shreveport.
Christian Service Board member Tom Pace says this is an opportunity for the community to help “Keep Sister Marget’s dream alive,” by donating $5 for each ticket to the event.
According to Pace, it takes about $450 thousand to serve over 100,000 meals annually to the underserved in our area.
Pace made the comments during the “Pause for the Poor” proclamation announcement by Mayor Cedric Glover Government Plaza on Wednesday, Nov. 4th, 2009.
